HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008! I would just like to wish all of my fellow Kenyans a Happy and prosperous 2008! We have just gone through a tightly fought election with the winner too close to call. A winner has emerged but one side is feeling cheated. As responsible Kenyans let us refrain from inciting out fellow men to violence as we will not escape being affected if it breaks out. So before you ask for mayhem in the streets, ask yourself, are ready for you family and children to go through it and maybe perish? If there are election disputes they must be handled in the courts, otherwise nothing can be solved. I hope you all a blessed 2008 , and may God bless Kenya and all its people!

TO A PEACEFUL KENYAN ELECTION ! As the 2007 Kenyan election draws ever near and we start counting down the hours to the vote, I would just like to take this time out to wish every Kenyan a peaceful election. We must remember that whatever the result, we are all still Kenyans and must co-exist with our neighbours just as before. Whoever you are voting for as your President, MP or Councillor make sure you are making an informed decision, and that you know exactly who you are voting for! Also please think of the future generations of Kenyans and how they will judge your decision tomorrow. Kenya is a great and beautiful country and we should all strive to retain that stability and progress that we are blessed with. Most of all, let us all take the time out to pray that the vote will be for the benefit of all Kenyans, and always remember that God is in control of everything whatever the outcome. Vote wisely and trust in God. May God bless our beautiful land Kenya!

Merry Christmas to everyone! This will probably be my last post for the year 2007, so a Happy New Year to all of you too! God willing 2008 will be even a stronger year with more posts and better things. Isaiah 9:6 6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, [a] Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Let us remember Christ this Christmas ! As we come to the close of another year, and we celebrate another Christmas holday we should take the time to reflect and remember the real reason for this special time. The only reason we should celebrate this holiday is to remeber and reflect on the birth of Jesus the Christ. While we were all sinners, God sent us His only Son to come and save us from our sins. God did not have to do this, he could have just wiped out the whole world or sent us to our fates in hell. But instead from His gracious Love he sent us Emmanuel as a child born on Christmas day. Jesus's only misssion while here on earth was to rescue sinners by dying on the Cross and raising Himself from the dead and thus washing away all our sins. So may we all take this Christmas season seriously and thank God for the wonderful Saviour He sent us, and we must take the time out to think of those who are poor, homeless, hungry. Visit a hospital, shelter ot just the beggar on the

New videos from Lecrae, Trin-i-tee 5:7, KJ-52 and more! Hey people! Check out these new videos from urban Gospel artists. First up is Lecrae a Holy-hip-hopper and member of the Cross Movement with his jam called " Praying for you. " Next up is Trin-i-tee 5:7 who have come back after a long hiatus with a nice song called " Listen ." They also have a new album called T57 , so go pick that up. KJ-52 has a new song called " Fanmail. " I really like the concept of this song and continuing with KJ's themes of "letter-from-fan" songs in this one he doesn't write to Eminem again. Instead lets all of us in on the moving mail he receives from his fans out there. He then replies to them in the last verse and i thought it was quite a creative song. And last but not least we have Manafest featuring Thousand Foot Krutch with the rocking jam called " Impossible. " Have a great weekend guys!

Christian's persecuted in America. Many of you have by now heard of the shooting and killing of church members in (Youth With A Mission)YWAM and New Life Church in Colorado Springs . Reports indicate the shootings were carried out by the same 24-year-old Denver man, Matthew Murray who "hated Christians." Five people including a gunman were killed and five others wounded Sunday in two eruptions of violence. Check out the Yahoo story . This is a good reminder to all of us not to assume there are no people out there who deeply hate Christians and would not use violent means against us. We should pray for the enemies of Christ that they may change their hearts. And also pray for the families of those who lost their lives, that they may be comforted by God. Most of all let us pray that we may stand strong for God if we ever faced similar circumstances where our lives were threatened for the sake of Christ. You can read the press conference by New Life Church here . Al

Kirk Franklin's latest video. Watch Kirk Franklin's new video for his song Declaration (This Is It)! here. I like this video, which features him as a Muhammad Ali type boxer facing himself, which is a good metaphor for the evil and good of man battling his own sinful nature. Check out his singers in the crowd as spectators and is wife makes a guest appearance too. Still looking for that kid Donovan in the video, tell me if you spot him there.

Kirk Franklin's Kenyan concert a success! Unfortunately I could not make it for the Kirk Franklin concerts this past weekend(for obvious reasons), but from all accounts it was a success with about 30,000 people attending the Celtel Xtreme Life events. The event started at 6:00pm with Pastors James and Nzimbi as the masters of ceremony. Opening acts included SK Blue and The City Lights Dancers who adorned traditional African dress. Other acts included Jemimah Thion'go who brought the house down with her big hit Mwenye Baraka . Other attractions included skateboarders from the Xtreme Sports team. Right after this Kirk Franklin, the man all were there to see took to the stage to a thunderous reception from the massive crowd. He got right into it, with a flawless set together with his excellent backing band who went through his famous songs both old and recent, from Lovely Day to moving worship numbers like My Life, My All . Not to be left out were the recent classic hit Ima

It is with great sadness that Kenya Christian blog reports the passing of Angela Chibalonza in a road accident. Details of the unfortunate incident are yet to reach me, but let us take this time to remember her family and pray for them. She was known for such big hits as "Uliniumba Nikuabudu," and "Yahwe Uhimidiwe." She recently performed to a packed crowd at the national prayers in Nairobi. May she dwell in glory with The Lord, Amen.

Dr. D James Kennedy(1930-2007) Dr. D. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries passed away earlier this week on Wednesday. I watched his Coral Ridge Hour program on many Sundays and he was surely a man who defended the Truth of God's word and was not one to compromise his message for political correctness. He shall be missed but we are confident that he is now with The Lord. May we follow his example and preach the Word of God with truth and conviction. Read a Christianity Today article on him here .
This was a very moving article I just read from Christianity Today and wanted to share. May we remember our persecuted brothers and sisters around the world. Faith Perfected Recent martyrdoms sadden us but cannot make us despair. A Christianity Today editorial | posted 7/12/2007 08:53AM T urkey has become more and more hostile to its tiny Christian minority. Though the nation is 99 percent Muslim, the government and media look at any activities of Christians with great suspicion. Last year, according to Compass Direct News, an Italian Catholic priest was shot to death while kneeling in his church in the Black Sea port of Trabzon. And in January, an ethnic Armenian Christian journalist was murdered in Istanbul. South Korean hostages; two freed. Hello, as you may know two of the South Korean Christian hostages in Afghanistan were released a few days ago on a rural Afghan road located south of Kabul. Please all continue to pray for the rest of the captives that God's will may be done in the situation and that our trust as Christians are in Him. Also pray for all those involved in the negotiations with the Taliban. UPDATE: According to the Al-Jazeera website the two women who were released spent the night in a "safe place." - The San Jose Mercury News reports that while there has been some discussion on the phone with the South Koren government and the Taliban, there are no new face to face talks planned. - The Korea Times is reporting that the negotiation focused on ransom and the Taliban is requesting ten million dollars to free all the hostages.

Converting Kirk Cameron "I was rich, I was young, I was famous, I could do anything I wanted with whomever I wanted." - Kirk Cameron By KEVIN SITES, TUE MAY 29, 1:47 PM PDT BELLFLOWER, California - At the height of his Hollywood success, former "Growing Pains" sitcom star Kirk Cameron started worrying about something his money couldn't buy: salvation. He had more than just legions of fanatic fans. He also had stalkers and kidnapping threats, and was sometimes driven to the set in a bulletproof car. It got him thinking about his own mortality. He had it all, but still felt empty. Kirk Cameron reaches a new audience these days through his Christian radio show, television show, and Web site. "I was raised not going to church.
