Pro Gay activists invade a MI church

I wont say I prophesied this, but I'll just say I'm not surprised it happened. It's all part of the New Gay Agenda I've been talking abou t. I believe we are beginning to see a turning point on this issue.Right now the gay movement is unleashing the bulk of their anger toward the Mormon Church . I dont know which way the pivot will swing, but swing it will.

I know this is kinda old, but I've always really liked this song. It seems hardcore street/conscious hiphop has been largely thrown to the back in the Kenyan music scene, but I hope groups like these will always keep the "real rap" alive. The making of...

Calling all Graphic Designers. O.K I'm looking for a Graphic Designer who is willing to design a banner for the top part of this blog. However I will post up your name for credit and any links to websites or contact information you provide if I select your design. Details for the banner design: - It should say KENYA CHRISTIAN prominently, but not too large. -Should not have too many colors, 3-5 at most. Preferably use blue, red, white, green and black.(however black should no be the main color) - Can creatively include some images of people, crosses...(mainly images that relate to the contents of the blog e.g Christianity, music, people) So send them in to kenyachristian@live.com and I will select the best one. Good luck.

eHarmony forced to cater to gays

Image
This is quite troubling. eHarmony , a private(Christian-owned) online match-making company has now been pressured into offering matches to homosexuals. Read article here . This is not surprising, its just part of the New Gay Agenda I was talking about . This is not the first or last time we will see this kind of thing.

The new Gay Agenda

Image
So Proposition 8 was passed in the state of California and the homosexual community in the U.S is mighty angry about this. Proposition 8 was an amendment to the California state constitution which keeps a marriage between one man and one woman, as it has always been. This was an item on the ballot during the just concluded 2008 presidential election. At first it went by unnoticed except for some spontaneous rallies in California. But the protests have started spreading countrywide and the (Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transgender)GLBT community are determined to get their "rights" by hook or by crook. They are even looking at the Supreme Court to overturn the decision of the people. Some within the community are blaming African-Americans and Latino's(who voted largely Yes) for passing this amendement. Although homosexual people(I dont prefer the term gay) already have their civil unions which have basically all the same rights as a marriage, they are still determined to g

Kanjii - Stories Album Launch

Image
Description: Kanjii - "Stories" Album Launch FINALLY!!! Kanjii Mbugua (of Milele and Mavuno worship project fame) is launching his very first solo album entitled 'Stories' at the end of this year (December 7th 2008). Though he has been in the music industry forwell over a decade, he has never quite found the season to be right forhim to launch his solo career...that time has finally arrived. The idea of 'Stories' is one that has been evolving and developing overthe years. Being a passionate observer of life and a contemporary storyteller - Kanjii found that the songs he wrote were actually stories toldfrom different life perspectives. And that's what the album promises tobe...one good long listen! His first single off the album is entitled 'Just a Man'; a beautifulconcept; where so often men in urban Africa are required to be strong andinvincible. In as much as that has its place - this song shows us avulnerable, alternative side of a man...which b

Video: Hazakim - Crucifixion Description

So after posting those two new Hazakim tracks I wanted to go back and see what other Hazakim stuff I had posted and I was surprised that I had never posted this song. Anyway, better late than never. I first saw this video about two years ago (and the song that introduced me to the rap duo) and it has grown to be in my opinion one of the best Gospel rap songs yet made. I remember the second time I heard it it almost brought me to tears. Its not an official video, but something I think a fan put together but powerful nonetheless.

Gospel + Lyricist?

Image
Who said you can't do Gospel and be a sick lyricist too? Whoever has that notion needs to open their ears. There is a lot of talent out there in the Gospel rap world. Now these dudes may not be well known(at least from my standpoint) in the Holy Hip-Hop world, but trust me they have the talent. Apart from maybe Da' TRUTH , they are probably my favorite Gospel rap lyricists. They are called Hazakim. Check out these two tracks from their upcoming album Theophanies Hip-Hologetics Vol.2 Hazakim - Brace Yourself Hazakim - Genesis 32

Mama Africa...there'll never be another.

Now you know I wasnt going to end my dedication the great Queen of Africa Miriam Makeba with just that short post. Oh wow, no,never! There are not enough words in my vocabulary to describe how much I'll miss this lady. She is and has been one of my favorite singers ever. I have been listening to Miriam Makeba's music since I was a toddler in the 80s and I basically grew up with her. My whole family did. She was one of the few artists my whole family loved(and could listen to), mother, father, sisters, brothers. We all liked her music because you felt that she spoke for us and for the whole of the African continent. She also gave the world a window into what was hapening in South Africa at a time when dissenting voices were silenced. Although she lived in exile for 31 years she made sure to express to the world through music just what was happening in South Africa under the oppressive white rule. Who can forget the heart-wrenching Khauleza song about life in apartheid South Afric

A part of me died with Miriam.

Image
I am kind of emotional right now. I just read a small article on BBC website stating that Miriam Makeba passed away on December 9th,2008 while ill in Italy. Aside from my slight anger that the article was so small and hidden on the site, I am just deeply sad that such a profound, talented and wonderful legend of Africa and African music has died. May you rest in peace Mama Africa. Miriam Makeba (1932-2008)

Unlike other mass gatherings which attract people through the rhythms of loud music, the glamour of flashing lights, or through the appeal of charismatic personalities, TheCall is a gathering centered around the affections of

Obama wins!

Image
A black man is now the most powerful person on the planet. Definitely never dreamed I would see this day in my lifetime. America has proved that at her best she can be a great nation. Yes, she has had her dark history and black spots, but which nation hasn't. I hope this will spark more black people to live up to our great potential. I wish Africa, its leaders and people would also look at this as inspiration to do better. This is for all the slaves, and people who went thorugh discrimination and racism,hangings,hose-downs and all manner of racial prejudice. Somehwere Martin Luther King Jr. is smiling. We are not n*ggers or coons or lazy, we as a people can achieve great heights if we are dedicated to it. Kudos to Barack Obama, America and all the voters. I am proud that my native country Kenya has produced the U.S presidency. (On another note I'm just imagining how much Obama's security has been beefed up right now.) ( Update: Wikipedia have already updated their U.S Presi

Lewis Hamilton = First black F1 world champion

Image
He did it! after almost squandering it all... again, in the last minute, Lewis Hamilton managed to pass Timo Glock on the last corner to finish 5th and make him F1 World Champion. Read full story here .This drivers title makes Lewis Hamilton the youngest driver ever, and the first black driver to win a Formula 1 championship. He is also the first Brit to win the title in 12 years. The race was hair-pulling as Hamilton almost lost it all with only 1 lap to go. So Lewis has done a black first today, will Obama pull off a second on Tuesday? Watch this space.

Minority Unity

Image
I think this election will demostrate the new power and influence that minorities in the U.S are now beginning to possess. It is no longer just a "white" nation. Minority groups from Asians, to Muslims, Latinos to African-Americans are going to determine the outcome of this election, and not necessarily white people. Times are-a-changing.

Australia or Nazi Germany?

Embedded video from CNN Video I think this is outrageous. But I also see it as the inevitable result of a Godless society. Whether its the abortion issue, euthanasia etc. When every life is not seen as equal, or precious in Gods sight and people place value only in the "healthy" or "normal" people. If this is the secular future of society then I really hope not to live in it.
