The young poet, celebrated at home and abroad in literary and entertainment circles, shall share some of her newest poems and a few favorites in a new collaborative experiment of poetry and music – supported by some of Kenya’s most talented and vibrant singers and musicians. Ngwatilo In Concert builds on the successes and ambitions of The Puesic Project staged at Alliance Francaise last December to a sold out audience; to allow other art forms to complicate, simplify and amplify the best of contemporary Kenyan poetry. This is the debut single of the band Ma-3 Ma3 (Maa-Three) is a 6-piece, quirky Afro Pop band from Nairobi that borrows its name from the ubiquitous public transport mini- vans- “Ma3s“ that dot the urban and rural landscape of Kenya.
