Tusker Lite have been doing a fabulous job in bringing soul and R&B acts to town. Artists some of us never imagined we would see perform live have been coming to perform for the past year or so. artists like Joe Thomas ,  Donnell Jones , Vivian Green and of course Erykah Badu (who has been the best so far in this writers opinion.) Some artists performances have been great (Ms.Badu), some have been so-so and some have been bad. But this is what it's all about, going to see if your favourite artist is just as good as we have seen on TV,radio,internet etc. So anyway all this is thanks to Tusker Lite, and whoever thought up this event deserves a pat on the back. Anyway, I know we all have our dream artists that we would like to see perform. So, I am going to make my list of Top artists that I would love to see perform. The Kenyan Poet Show is back!..after a short hiatus:)  About the January show: The year 2012 was one of the most memorable ones for music lovers in Kenya with the most ecstatic lot being the Neo-Soul lovers. This year saw the most notable list of live performances by artists in different genres, a promise of better things to come. Artists such as Erykah Badu, Jah Cure, James Ingram, Johnny Gill, Akon, Donnel Jones, Joe and Incognito are among those who held  concerts in Nairobi. As we start off the year 2013, we look back at the new artists and new music that made the year 2012 such a memorable one. This is from her 1997 album(gosh, 13yrs already) Baduizm . Her latest video is causing a small stir on the net.I love it when artists(I like) provoke people, thats the real purpose of art in my opinion.Will be reviewing Baduizm  later.   Unfresh is the debut album from new artist Andy Allo and is her attempt to get noticed among the crowded R&B/Neo-Soul genre. With so much talent in this genre it is sometimes hard to find the artists who are trying something different. With Unfresh Andy Allo manages to craft an album that will get repeated listens.  Andy sets out to make an album that mostly deals with love & relationships which she does in an honest way. This is a woman, who has seen the different sides of love and you sort of feel like she is reading words straight from her diary. On the first song “Fly Away” however Andy raps, yes raps about hope amidst depression and loss what with the economy just barely recovering from a depression. The song doesn’t really feel like a triumphant anthem but sort of a “just hold-on” even with everything that’s going on.  “Come Home To Me” is the next song on the album and is a beautiful, smooth R&B track and is...
