Haven't finished watching this, but glad the full movie has been releases for free viewing. Check it out! The modern day Four Horsemen continue to ride roughshod over the people who can least afford it. Crises are converging when governments, religion and mainstream economists have stalled. 23 international thinkers come together and break their silence about how the world really works and why there is still hope in re-establishing a moral and just society. Four Horsemen is free from mainstream media propaganda, doesn't bash bankers, criticize politicians or get involved in conspiracy theories. The film ignites the debate about how we usher a new economic paradigm into the world which, globally, would dramatically improve the quality of life for billions.

Yes, I have called it torture because this is one of the most barbaric things I have ever scene being done to a human. This is what the "great" American military-government(empire) does to people it does not like. Is there much difference between this and something that would be done at a Nazi concentration camp? Think about it. Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) is one brave soul for volunteering to expose this evil, satanic practice. WARNING: This video is disturbing

I found this was a really good documentary, so I thought I should post it for you to check out! Dark Girls is a fascinating and controversial documentary film that goes underneath the surface to explore the prejudices that dark-skinned women face throughout the world. It explores the roots of classism, racism and the lack of self-esteem within a segment of cultures that span from America to the most remote corners of the globe. Women share their personal stories, touching on deeply ingrained beliefs and attitudes of society, while allowing generations to heal as they learn to love themselves for who they are.

I'll definitely be watching this. It's the dirty little secret of the War on Terror: all bets are off, and almost anything goes. We have fundamentally changed the rules of the game and the rules of engagement. Today drone strikes, night raids, and U.S. government--condoned torture occur in corners across the globe, generating unprecedented civilian casualties. Investigative reporter Jeremy Scahill (author of BLACKWATER: The Rise of the World's Most Mercenary Army) traces the rise of the Joint Special Operations Command, the most secret fighting force in U.S. history, exposing operations carried out by men who do not exist on paper and will never appear before Congress. No target is off-limits for the JSOC "kill list," even a U.S. citizen. Director Richard Rowley takes us on a chilling ride with whistle-blower Scahill. Dirty Wars is a battle cry for the soul and conscience of an America few of us know exists.

Should I be happy that Lauryn Hill is releasing new music, or should I be angered that her record label is now on her neck to release material because of her tax situation? So much so that she has tagged her new song, (Compulsory Mix.) Sigh, it's always great to her new Lauryn I guess. I think something good will come out of this no matter how bad it seems now.

There are generally some great tunes coming out of the U.K right now. Rudimental is one of the best new U.K artists in my opinion. Check out their other great stuff online. Tusker Lite have been doing a fabulous job in bringing soul and R&B acts to town. Artists some of us never imagined we would see perform live have been coming to perform for the past year or so. artists like Joe Thomas , Donnell Jones , Vivian Green and of course Erykah Badu (who has been the best so far in this writers opinion.) Some artists performances have been great (Ms.Badu), some have been so-so and some have been bad. But this is what it's all about, going to see if your favourite artist is just as good as we have seen on TV,radio, internet etc. So anyway all this is thanks to Tusker Lite, and whoever thought up this event deserves a pat on the back. Anyway, I know we all have our dream artists that we would like to see perform. So, I am going to make my list of Top artists that I would love to see perform. This list is NOT strictly R&B/soul but most of it is. The list is in order of preference. So here goes.. 1. Sade One of the worlds best bands, they are a t

If you know me, you'll know that I've never given up on R&B/Soul. When everyone else has jumped on the Techno/dance train and left the R&B horse, I still continue to believe and support. There are just so many good and exciting(experimental?) sounds that are happening on that scene. All I can say is that radio does absolutely nothing for me nowadays in terms of music discovery and appreciation. This is not to say the traditional sounding R&B doesn't still exist, but it now exists alongside many emerging forms and sounds of the genre. (P.S I'm not saying techno/dance era is bad, but it doesn't mean the R&B genre is dead.) Check out this video below by HASHTAG$ Rochelle Jordan - "Shotgun"
