Video: DNG "Anza Tena" and more Here is DNG with his song "Anza Tena." I like this song in that DNG was opening up with his testmony and struggle in the faith. DNG has been an artist that has come under alot of criticism and scrutiny in the Kenyan media, but I think we should refrain from casting stones, and leave the judging upto God. Otherwise this an upbeat and enjoyable track. Here is Daddy Owen and She-lah with a song I still enjoy to this day called " Yesu." In my opinion SK-Blue needs to go back to this kind of production, he was really good at it. He was just as good if not better than Ogopa DJs. Enjoy!

Expelled exposing Evolution theory bias? I should have posted about this earlier, but I guess better late than never. Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed is a recently released documentary by actor Ben Stein . It is about the discrimination in learning institutions in America against people who dispute the Evolutionary theory. this documentary has already started to cause waves and is off to a good start at theaters. P.O.D discuss their evolving sound Here is an interview P.O.D did with Christian Music Today Now that nü-metal seems almost completely phased out, you seem to be intentional in incorporating a lot of diverse influences, like jazz and reggae. What's your take on the group's stylistic evolution? Sandoval: Well, we never sit down and say that we're gonna write this way or that way, especially at this point in time when we're just having fun hanging out and playing music. We're still full of the same punk rock, hardcore attitude, but 16 years later, you've got guys who have matured in their playing. So they can't make the same record they did in 1994 or even 2000. We still love heavy music, but some of it is more mellow for us. When you listen back to the album at the end of the day, all the different elements keep every song from sounding the same. And people really seem to be feeling this record musically and digging in. Continue reading here
Moved by the Pope Wow, I don't usually write personal stuff but as I write this tears have just been flowing from my face for the last 15 minutes. I don't know what happened, but when I was watching the news of Pope Benedict XVI's departure from U.S I just started weeping. I even find it hard to write this but that man has just moved me so much. He is just so humble and filled with compassion, that you have to be stone-hearted not to have been moved by him. He has had a very touching visit to the U.S and he has affected all he met. God bless you Pope Benedict as you continue to spread God's love acroos the globe... I don't know what this means but I may having some kind of epiphany.

Kora Awards Final Call KORA All Africa Music Awards is making a final call for artists to submit their entries for 2008. The submission is open to works commercially released from January 1, 2006 and not having been previously entered for the KORA Awards. The requirements for entry are: One DVcam of the song considered by the artist as the most representative of their work; six commercial CDs for radio promotion; two colour photographs (1 x full-length & 1 x close-up); one biography in English (~ 500 words); one biography in French (~ 500 words); and a fully filled-out Entry Form, which can be downloaded from www.koraawards.org . East Africa's representatives for the awards, PHAT! Music & Entertainment Ltd , will be receiving final entries on Monday 14th April 2008 from 9am - 5pm at DHL Express, Kenya Head Office on Lusaka Road.

Another favorite, Robert Kamanzi! (Kiboko Yao album cover) Okay it seems today is just a day of favorites, haha. Well here is a song from my favorite Kenyan producer Robert Kamanz i called " Kiboko Yao " from his 2006 album of the same name. I have followed " RKay's " work since the early 00's and the quality of his productions is unsurpassed in my opinion. He is a very versatile producer and has a great track record.
